Ultrasonic reverse sensors are an aid to safety when reversing by utilizing the principle of sonar and is an ultrasonic measuring and warning system suitable for most types of vehicles. It provides the driver with an audible warning of any obstacle, unlike the audible warning devices that warn the obstacle to "get out of the way". The system is wired into the vehicle's reversing light circuit and is automatically activated only when the vehicle's reverse gear is engaged. The driver is aware that the system is functional by an audible double beep.

While reversing, should there be an object behind the vehicle, the sensors detect it and bounce signals to the control unit, which in turn activates a three stage beeper through a speaker mounted in the vehicle, allowing the driver to stop before making contact.

There are several kits available, to suit a variety of vehicles, from small cars,

to large trucks and buses. All kits will operate 12-24 volt electrical systems.
