Strobe power supplies are designed to allow the user to
operate a number of remote strobe lamps (heads) as an integrated system. Strobe
heads have no circuitry as such, but are controlled by the power supply.
Strobe power supplies are designed to control a particular
number of heads, usually as pairs. For example 2 head (1 pair), 4 head (2
pairs), 6 head (3 pairs) etc.. In addition to the number of outputs, strobe
power supplies also provide the energy to the remote heads. This is usually
measured in output watts.
The output watts of a strobe power supply is the total
energy provided across all heads in a flash cycle. For example a 40 watt 4
output power supply will provide approximately 10 watts to each head. The energy
provided to the heads directly impacts on the intensity of light being emitted
from a head. For our range of remote strobe heads click
